Nomad Awards is bringing together the brightest young minds in technology for months-long coaching and real-life application, making it the largest and most credible platform for fostering groundbreaking ideas and implementation.
About the competition
We invite all young talent from across Hong Kong, the Greater Bay Area and Macau to showcase their incredible tech skills and creativity in addressing real-life community challenges. By engaging with the community and providing inspiration and coaching, we aim to bring together individuals, corporations, schools, children, and families in a collaborative effort to create a profound and positive impact on our community.

OUR APPROACH: 3Cs
Create
By actively engaging with the community, participants gain firsthand insights into the problems faced by individuals and organizations, this fuels their creativity and empowers them to develop innovative solutions that directly address the needs of the community.
Coach
Participants have the invaluable opportunity to attend workshops, visit offices, and be paired with experienced mentors or industry experts who provide guidance, feedback, and valuable insights to help them refine their ideas.
Construct
Participants are encouraged to construct tangible prototypes and implement their solutions in real-life contexts. We aim to bridge the gap between theoretical ideas and practical impact to make a meaningful and positive difference in the community.

Participants will work on tech-driven solutions that address the UNESCO Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across

Supporting Organizations
Eligibility
We are excited to invite everyone from Hong Kong, Macau* and Greater Bay Area* to participate and showcase their exceptional tech skills. Whether you're a student or passionate about tech and community impact, the Nomad Awards is open to all who fall under the participant categories below.
Primary School
P4-6 (Age 9-11)
Secondary School
Division 1: F1-3 (Age 12-14)
Division 2: F4-6 (Age 15-17)
Eligibility Criteria:
- Open to students forming groups of 2 to 4 members.
- Groups must self-organise.
- Each member must submit an individual application.
(Once you successfully submit your application, you will receive a confirmation email. Please keep this email for your records.)
Application fee: HKD350 per person
The specified school years are based on the 2025-2026 academic year. For example, a student in F2 during the 2025-2026 academic year should enrol in the Secondary School Division 1.
*Remark: Please be aware that majority of the events and workshops will be held in Hong Kong. We strongly recommend residents of Hong Kong or individuals from the aforementioned areas who can freely travel to Hong Kong to participate in order to fully maximize their experience.

Upon successful completion of the Nomad 100 Challenge and participation in Community Exploration.
Certificate of Winning the Competition
To individuals or teams who emerge victorious in the competition.

Am I eligible to join the competition if I am a part-time student?
Yes, you are eligible to participate as long as you are enrolled in a registered school in Hong Kong, the Greater Bay Area, or Macau and fall within the specified age group.
How do I know if I have registered successfully?
A confirmation message will be sent to the email address you provided after you have submitted the registration form.
Can I request a refund after submitting my application and making a successful payment?
We apologize for any inconvenience but we have a strict no-refund policy once payment has been successfully processed. However, if you are a student from a local school, we encourage you to reach out to our Preface team (Email: nomad-awards@preface.ai) or your school teacher. There may be a limited number of first-come-first-served free entries sponsored for students.
I am under 18, do I need my parent's consent?
Any participant under eighteen (18) years old must have the consent of his or her parent or legal guardian to accept.
Can I submit more than one application?
We do not allow multiple applications from the same individual. If there happens to be a duplicated submission, we will remove the duplicate entry from the count.
Do I receive any certificate upon completion if I didn't receive any award?
Yes, each participant who makes it to the competition after screening is granted a certificate of participation, even if they didn't receive any award.
What is the youngest age at which one can participate?
The minimum age for participation is 9.
Do I have to attend all the events and engagements if I join this competition?
No, it is not mandatory to attend all the events and engagements if you have other official commitments. However, important dates such as auditions, competition day, and the finale (if you make it to the final) are mandatory.
