Tell me and I forget.
Teach me and I may remember.
Involve me and I learn.
All children are gifted with their own set of talents, and it's up to us to provide them the best opportunities for discovery and nurture in their impressionable age. At Preface, we pay attention to each children's passion and align their learning journey with topics they're interested in.
Our educators always encourage kids to share their creative ideas, and would never be critical or off-putting. Whenever kids feel truly satisfying and confident in mastering a new skill, who knows, maybe this would be the beginning of their successful adulthood or careers. And that little spark ignited in their eyes is what makes us genuinely happy.
Young learners are not only intellectual but also social and emotional beings. The best learning environment is one that develops these full range of skills.
With 1-on-1 teaching and private classes, kids can acquire knowledge at their own pace, and are more open to ask for dedicated help. This gives them the best psychological safety and learning outcomes. Kids can also meet like-minded peers in our bootcamps, which allow them to socialize, exchanging feedback and ideas.
By structuring the lessons into hands-on projects, kids actively teach themselves by trial-and-error, solving problems, and debugging their own code. This is nothing like being spoon-fed with information in traditional classrooms.
We give all the time they need to explore their own thoughts, make their own connections, and create their own ideas. Kids educated this way are more likely to be confident in applying their technical skills in daily life, and have stronger faith in the impact they may bring to the world.
